TUESDAY:
WEDNESDAY:
Study for your spelling test. Don't forget to try the BONUS words!
THURSDAY:
Homework is given a grade (1-4) based on completion as follows:
4 = outstanding (0-2 missing days)
3 = satisfactory (4-6 missing days)
1-2 = needs improvement; ineligible for honor roll an (7+ missing days of homework)
If a student receives a 2 or 1 in any area on their report card, they become ineligible for Principal's List or Honor Roll regardless of their grades
Students will not be penalized in content areas for incorrect answers on homework. Homework is monitored and, a stated above, will be reflected on the report card. It is assessed using N-needs improvement, S-satisfactory, and O-outstanding. Although it is not given an academic letter grade, it can affect whether your child receives Honor Roll or Principal's List Awarda. As per school policy, students who receive an N on their report card in any area are not eligible for either award.
If your child is struggling with certain assignments and still does not understand after general guidance from a parent, please let me know. I would rather receive a paper that is incomplete ir wrong but had a note attached from a parent, than one that has been given assisstance on every problem. This allows for a more accurate assesment of a student's strengths and weaknesses.
